English Challenge - Wednesday 6th May

Hello again, we hope everyone is still safe and healthy.

For today's English challenge we are looking at apostrophes for possession. We have looked at these earlier in the year but to remind yourselves about how to use them try watching a short video. Follow the link below:

Now write out these sentences but put in the missing apostrophes.

1. The twins parents were looking for a babysitter.

2. Andrews coat is still on the playground.

3. All of the childrens work has been marked.

4. The footballers boots are brand new.

5. Both of my shoes laces are in knots.

6. My cars headlights don't seem to be working.

7. The crops in the farmers field are ready for harvesting.

8. All of the boys shoes were covered in mud.

9. Can you tell me the way to the mens toilets please?

10. Has anyone seen Aidens reading book?

Now can you write five sentences of your own that contain apostrophes of possession. Try to use some singular nouns and some plural nouns.
