In our descriptive writing session today we will be looking at improving our vocabulary. A useful tool to help us do this is a thesaurus. If you haven't got a thesaurus this website is helpful, it's an online thesaurus. Simply type in the word you want to improve. Try it with the adjective - big

Copy these sentences into your challenge book, but use the thesaurus website to improve the underlined words.
1. Tom was sad that he couldn't go to the party.
2. The little mouse ran under the kitchen table.
3. Suddenly, loud sirens started to ring.
4. The worker was tired after a long day in the factory.
Now have a go at using this picture to come up with FIVE interesting adjectives. Don't forget to use thesaurus.com.
