Maths Challenge - Friday 3rd April (Statistics)

Good morning year 4, we hope you are well!

To finish of our look at statistics this week we will look as some problem solving examples.

Here's the warm-up: Subtracting 9

A really good strategy for subtracting 9 is to subtract 10 and then add one back on to the total.

For example:   43 - 9 = 43 - 10 = 33 and then add 1 back on for 34

Solve the following questions:

25 - 9
36 - 9
47 - 9
52 - 9
73 - 9
105 - 9
226 - 9
347 - 9
525 - 19
734 - 29
